About Dolly Bhargava
Dolly Bhargava holds an impressive resume full of extensive experience and qualifications. She works with children, adolescents and adults with disabilities in a variety of settings such as school, accommodation, post school option, employment and corrective services. She regularly provides consultancy and training services on a range of issues relating to communication, behaviour management, emotional literacy, vocation, culture and disability. Her services are provided both nationally and internationally.
Dolly received a Bachelor of Applied Science in Speech Pathology from the University of Sydney followed by a Masters in Special Education in Sensory Disability from the University of Newcastle. Her education is accompanied by eighteen years of experience including providing intervention services to children, adolescents and adults with disabilities and providing practical, interactive and customised workshops for parents, educators, support workers and health professionals. Dolly Bhargava was also privileged to be mentored by Ylana Bloom (Autism Central – Speech Pathologist) for a number of years. Ylana Bloom and Dolly Bhargava co-authored a number of books that were based on Ylana Bloom’s invaluable insights and extensive experience of working with individuals with disabilities.
Dolly currently works as a consultant speech pathologist at primary and secondary schools supporting students with disabilities. Her past roles have included serving as a Speech Pathologist for the Alzhiemer’s Association of Western Australia, Autism Association of Western Australia, Royal Institute for the Deaf and Blind Children of NSW and Corrective Services in Western Australia. Apart from running workshops for a number of schools and disability related organisations she is also a panel presenter for Teacher Training Australia, Early Childhood Intervention Australia, Developmental Disability Council of WA and Bridging Talents in Singapore.

Dolly is also the creator of Behavior Zen. Behaviour Zen is an innovative resource based on the evidence based approach of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). The resource is made up of a web based app and a book series. The easy to use resource provides a step by step guide to assessing, preventing and managing challenging behaviours arising from emotional and behavioural difficulties positively. It is useful for parents, teachers, support staff and professionals supporting individuals with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, Conduct Disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorder.
